At the heart of the Village
About Us
We think that The Swan with Two Nicks has everything you look forward to in a village pub. Step inside and you’ll find rustic beams, a huge selection of premium real ales, a great range of freshly-cooked food – including old favourites, snacks, salads, steaks and daily fish specials – accompanied by a brilliant collection of carefully-chosen wines – the aromas of roaring log fires in winter with dogs at the hearth, alfresco drinks and snacks on a summer’s evening.
The quality of our Ales has gained us Cask Marque accreditation, Good Beer Guide listing, CAMRA Pub of the Year and recently, Timothy Taylors Champion Club Establishment status!
And then there’s the atmosphere. The surroundings are quirky, cosy and with more character than a Shakespeare cast. Against a background of chatter and laughter is the rattle of glasses and bottles. As soon as you’re over the doorstep you’ll realise this is a place to relax and enjoy the pleasures of life.
Nestled on the south-west corner of the beautiful Dunham Massey estate and a short walk from the Bridgewater Canal, The Swan is far enough away to make you forget about the daily grind yet close enough to be just around the corner from Lymm, Altrincham, Hale and pretty much anywhere in South Manchester. Even local TV shows visit – you might have spotted us in Cold Feet and Corrie!!
Your four-legged friends are welcome in the bar area (we tolerate children throughout!) so we’re the perfect place to recover from your dog-walk through Dunham Park with a snack and a drink. But we’re also a great venue for a special occasion. We’ve built up a tradition of excellence for hospitality over many years. So, come on! A genuinely warm welcome from our lovely staff awaits. What are you waiting for?
